LORD MORTIS (CANADA)


LORD MORTIS was fonded in December 1991 at Rimouski, Quebec. Original members include ; Christian Grenier (drum), Francis Beaulieu (guitar), Bruno Rioux (bass) and Sébastien Pigeon (vocals). In February of 1992, Francis leaves the band. In July of that same year, Jimmy Dionne joins the band as lead guitarist and LORD MORTIS begins to produce their own original music. In august of 1992, the band records an Advanced Tape at the student radio studio at C.A.J.T., Cegep de Rimouski, on 8-tracks. In 1993, Olvier St-Pierre's adds a certain death to the band, which also starts to compose new tracks for a demo. A change of musical style in 1994 bring Mathieu Caissy alons and he replaces Sebastien Pigeon as LORD MORTIS' vocalist. New songs are completed and ready for the stage. In 1995, LORD MORTIS records a demo at Studio Victor in Montreal under the guidance of Pierre Remillard of Obliveon. Also, a new logo for the band is designed by Dan Seagrave. The demo is we'll received and successful, however, in December 1995, Jimmy leaves the band for professional reasons.
